At Ford Motor Company’s Blue Oval City, three new manufacturing plants bring the automotive leader closer to producing its next-generation electric vehicles.

Fortress Investment Group retained SBI Consultants to provide Advisory Solutions for the construction of three plants at Ford’s Blue Oval City, an electric vehicle assembly campus located in Stanton, Tennessee. The project involves the construction of three plants for auto parts manufacturer Magna International: a 800,000 GSF frame and battery enclosure assembly plant; a 136,500 GSF seating plant; and a 296,481 GSF industrial building used for automotive parts assembly.

For this ambitious project, SBI Consultants provided project oversight during the initial review and construction phases. During the initial review phase, SBI reviewed available documents and provided a summary report, and evaluated the overall schedule, budget and other material aspects of the project. During the construction phase, SBI reviewed draws and advised the team of any issues that may impact project cost and schedule.

Through every project phase, SBI engineers collaborated with the project team to identify and mitigate risk, provide consistent and reliable technical and management expertise, and proffer ongoing guidance to ensure that the two plants will be completed within budget and on schedule.

When complete, the three new manufacturing plants will help Ford manufacture its future-forward electric vehicles that promise to improve lives and protect the planet.
