Hospital for Special Surgery – Main Campus Renovation

The Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) is modernizing its main campus on the Upper East Side of Manhattan to meet the growing demand for its superior orthopedic care.

The transformative modernization project involves the renovation the Belaire Building, the Pavilion Building, and the 75th Street Campus. The renovations include partial or full gut renovations, room conversions, minimal finishes, and furniture scope.

SBI Consultants provided conceptual cost estimates for several renovation schemes for each of the buildings. Drawing on our vast knowledge and experience in the healthcare industry and applying advanced research methods, our engineers proactively assessed each scenario’s estimated costs. The detailed analysis included recent market feedback, vendor’s quotes, and historic data drawn from recent projects of similar size and complexity. This process uncovers hidden opportunities for greater efficiency in scheduling and execution, cost savings, and superb quality.

As a result of SBI’s technical solutions, HSS will achieve its goal of renovating the main campus to meet the needs of patients today and for decades to come.
