Memorial Sloan Kettering – David H. Koch Center For Cancer Care

A new vision for exceptional cancer care will be realized with this transformative outpatient setting for emerging technologies and services that save lives.

SBI Consultants is proud to engage with Memorial Sloan Kettering on numerous projects that will redefine patient care in the 21st century, including the new world-class David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care. This top-tier facility will enable Memorial Sloan Kettering to provide the most sophisticated therapies with greater efficiencies and lower costs in a patient-centered environment. SBI is collaborating with a dynamic team of professionals to conceptualize and construct the 24-story, 760,000 GSF next-generation facility on 74th Street in New York. Beginning with the pre-construction phase and continuing through opening day, SBI’s challenging role in this world-class project includes strategic advisory, cost estimating, cost management, and project management for the planning, procurement, delivery, and installation of furniture, fixtures, equipment, and technology (FFE&T). Using SBI’s extensive data analysis, MSK project leaders can make informed and empowered decisions to build a transformative facility within schedule and budget that accommodates the evolving medical technologies and services that save lives. Some of the ways that SBI provides value to the MSKCC project is by:

– Anticipating project risks;

– Helping to balance the budget;

– Negotiating terms to ensure MSKCC receives fair value of services provided by vendors;

– Managing and coordinating the procurement and installation of FFE&T. The early part of our services involved assessments for the entire site plan which includes two towers one for a Memorial Sloan-Kettering Ambulatory Care Center and another adjacent tower to be built in the future for the City University of New York (CUNY).

The future tower would be approximately 400,000 GSF, 15 stories, and is intended to house the CUNY/Hunter College Science and Health Professions Building replete with a school, auditorium laboratories.
